Brigitte Zypries Joins Bombardier Transportation Supervisory Board

Brigitte Zypries is the newest member of the supervisory board of Bombardier Transportation GmbH and Bombardier Transportation (Bahntechnologie) Holding Germany GmbH.

Between January 2017 and March 2018 Brigitte Zypries was the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy. Prior to that, between December 2013 and January 2013, she was Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. In that role she was responsible for information technology and foreign economics. At the same time she was the Government Coordinator for aviation and space policies. She held this role from January 2014 to March 2018.

Brigitte Zypries said:

“I’m looking forward to accompanying Bombardier in developing state-of-the-art mobility solutions and supporting the company during its transformation in Germany – while advocating for job preservation.”

Brigitte Zypries is indeed no stranger to the rail industry. Between January 2014 and March 2018 she was a member of the supervisory board at Deutsche Bahn AG.
