GGT-GearSaver® is a comprehensive condition monitoring system developed by Gmeinder especially for rail vehicle drives and gear units. The system monitors the oil quality and offers a number of benefits: prevention of failure and damage; detection of metal abrasion in oil; early warning of problems and critical operating states; permanent monitoring of temperature and oil quality; monitoring of the water dissolved in oil; forecast of the remaining time until the next oil change; automated monitoring of the gears, especially with regard to driverless railroad operations.
