Who We Are
Founded in 1904 near Milan, Manifattura Testori has brought to life many ambitious and important projects, taking Italian taste and craftsmanship around the world right from the beginning of the 20th century.
In the historical site of Novate Milanese, still today the operating headquarter of the Company, in the first decades of the past century, production concentrated on fabrics for interior furnishings and, later, on those for railways and cruise ships.
Then, between the 1950s and 1960s, Testori began working also with the aviation sector, firstly with Air France and Alitalia and later with the other world leading airlines.
Since the times of the Orient Express, Manifattura Testori has been recognized as one of the most consolidated producers in the railway sector fabrics market.
Today we supply Trenitalia, some of the world’s leading trains and seats manufacturers and other European railway companies with textile products in rolls and finished products.
Our success in the sector is based on our ability to combine comfort and elegance with avant-garde technical properties that ensure excellent resistance to wear, easy-maintenance and maximum safety.
Products
Respecting these requirements, we produce seat fabrics with standard wool/polyamide and PES FR compositions, as well as anti-vandal properties, fabrics for curtains and headrests and carpets.
The wide range of products in different materials, including a line in synthetic leather, is integrated with high-volume production of jacquard fabrics, with designs created internally that can be customized with the logos and colours of the customers.
Our product offer is always accompanied by our technical support service for the design, development and manufacture of new products samples and prototypes with the required certification, European standard EN 45545:2 which conform to the R21 test at all hazard levels (HL).
In this field, the internal test laboratory has an important role, testing all products in the development and production phases on the basis of the main parameters required.

Manifattura Testori cooperates with the Supply chain aiming to build an “Industry Partnership” following the principles of Eco-Design:
RAW MATERIAL: Use of 100% recycled FR polyester fibers and sustainable dying;
MANUFACTURING: 100% recycled FR polyester textiles become 100% recyclable products if the finished products sewing is made/designed using the same raw materials (mono-material);
DISTRIBUTION: 100% recycled material packaging and low impact transport;
USE: Low impact in installation and maintenance;
END OF LIFE: Recycling of ready-made items (curtains and/or dress covers) converted into FR polyester padding.
Environmental Impact
Manifattura Testori has developed new materials (fibers and fabrics) with the aim of being more sustainable reducing the environmental impact.
BIO-BASED MATERIALS
We introduced the 30% of bio-based material into the composition of our FR polyester products with the aim to reduce our carbon footprint with the switch to renewable source.
NATURAL FIBERS
We are developing new seating and curtain fabrics using natural fibers with the same performances of FR polyester.
