Artex the Factory: Railway Interior Textiles
Artex is a manufacturer of railway interiors. The company was founded in 1928 and has vast experience in industrial sewing and upholstery as well as project management, meaning they can be trusted to oversee the whole process: development and engineering, production as well as delivery.
The in-house engineering team has mechanical, textile, chemistry, design, and product development competence and works in close collaboration with prototype makers and textile artisans. Artex’s facilities are in Sweden and Latvia, with around 350 people employed, refurbishing +20,000 seats on a yearly basis.
Artex designs, redesigns, refurbishes and upgrades train seats and other textile interiors. Their capabilities include custom stitching and embroidery, precise cutting technology and leather processing.
