The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) has announced that Bruce Wise, president of the organisation since 2017, has stepped down because of a conflict with his new employment.

Wise, who joined the Board of Directors in 2009 and previously served as secretary, treasurer and vice-president, was replaced by Alan Reynolds. Reynolds, who also joined the board in 2009, is currently employed as president of Geismar North America.

David Tennent, CEO and Executive Director of REMSA, said:

“Mr. Wise’s leadership as President is fitting to his name. Bruce has been instrumental in growing our association and propelling REMSA’s mission forward. We want to thank Bruce for his time and commitment to REMSA and will continue to build on the positive momentum with Alan Reynolds as President.”

REMSA will also elect three new board directors at their 2018 Annual Membership Meeting, which will take place in Chicago, Illinois, on 16 September.

The candidates for election are Thomas Blechinger, President, Plasser American Corporation, Chuck Ewing, Vice President Track Services – Infrastructure, Progress Rail, and Rob Loomis, Business Manager, Willamette Valley Co., LLC.

The event is organised in conjunction with the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Annual Conference and Exposition.
