Adapting Railways for a Sustainable Future: Rebalancing, Resilience, and Realisation will take place on 30 April 2024 in London.
Presentations have been announced for the Adapting Railways for a Sustainable Future seminar which will cover the following topics:
- The role of railway engineers in sustainable transport
- Creating a seasonally agnostic railway that railway engineers can reliably deliver – Measuring, monitoring and mitigations across the railway system
- Less energy, emissions, waste – cleaner, smarter systems to reduce and reuse – now and in future
- Reducing and smoothing rail system electricity demand peaks – theory, case studies, developments, and opportunities
