The Swissrail Industry Association is the local and global association of the Swiss railway industry and the Swiss railway engineering companies. Our ssociation brings together over 100 Swiss companies that provide services and manufacture products for rail transport worldwide. The members employ over 12,000 people and generate annual sales of more than 12 billion Swiss francs. These produce vehicles and components and render services for all forms of guided transport. They work in six specialist groups – these range from planning to the construction of infrastructures, power supply, control, sales and security systems, rolling stock and workshop facilities.
On the one hand, the Swissrail Industry Association supports transport companies and government agencies in their search for suitable Swiss partners. On the other hand, it actively promotes exports and ensures the financing of large foreign projects. It follows the international tendering market and provides members with market-relevant information. After all, it represents the interests of the members in politics and business.
