Digital Solutions for Public Transport

Software as a Service (SaaS)

ETC is the leading SaaS supplier for mobility providers in the rail and bus sectors. ETC focuses on the development and operation of innovative operational planning and control systems, as well as real-time information systems for the operational management of transport companies. In addition, ETC offers innovative big data analysis and quality measurement systems for transport service clients such as municipalities, transport associations and ministries.

With more than 15,000 active users of its software systems, ETC processes approximately 1 billion data records per day and thus has unique expertise when it comes to data quality standards and data flows.

With its modular industry platform, the Intermodal Transport Control System “DatNet”, ETC maps the operating processes of 90% of all private rail operators in Germany. With ETC’s process digitalisation and automation applications, transport companies bring millions of passengers smoothly, punctually and well-informed to their destination every year.

Planning and Control Systems

ETC is a manufacturer of innovative operations control systems that act as company-wide data hubs for rail operators.

ETC’s operational planning and control systems for public transport are the most successful products in the German rail sector.

ETC connects, digitalises and automates the internal and external communication of the different entities of a transport company. The various modules independently exchange quality-checked data in real time.

Big Data Analysis

We provide big data analysis and quality measurement systems for ministries, federal states, municipalities, cantons and transport companies to measure the performance of transport services. Here, we use existing timetable data, historical real-time data from our ITCS and AI components.

DatNet

With DatNet mobile, we provide a tool for service registration train/vehicle registration, passenger counting, quality and damage recording, service instructions and info management, information and document management (tablet), query of online information media, Tf-Unit (real-time data collection in the sense of RBL light).

The web-based DatNet is a tool for setting up standardised system landscapes in public transport. It is used for the central receipt, processing, storage and distribution of all data in the process of a journey, regardless of whether it is a train or a bus.You can put together your system from a variety of modules depending on your requirements or transport contract, regardless of whether you want to set up a complete operations control system (AVLC/ITCS), communicate with information systems to VDV standard, or automate the instruction and reporting system.

The DatNet has an extensive range of interfaces, in addition to the well-known VDV standards, these include formats such as railML®, DIVA, GTFS or HAFAS raw data, which guarantee smooth communication with passenger information and passenger counting systems, vending machines or information systems, but also with new media such as Google Maps, Facebook or Twitter.

With the HMS, you integrate your entire stop infrastructure, from ticket vending machines to installations such as lifts, escalators or passenger information systems.
