Condition Monitoring

Condition Monitoring uses sensors and data to assess the condition of all manner of assets on the railway, either on rolling stock, such as bogies and wheels, or on the track and infrastructure, such as points/switches.
Condition monitoring allows asset managers and operators to maintain, repair or replace their assets before a critical failure occurs. It can therefore be planned, avoiding delays. The data gathered can also give valuable insight into the behaviour of assets.
