Mechan will be based on stand D31 in hall 12 of the NEC, from September 7-9. Its team will be demonstrating to visitors how its products can be tailored to the unique needs of rail depot operators, to make the maintenance of trains safer and more efficient. Details of the third-party products it supplies will also be available, including a working version of the CALIPRI wheelset measuring device.

The firm is best known for its flagship lifting jacks and one of its largest ever orders was delivered recently to London Underground’s Acton depot. A total of 44 ten-tonne units were installed, taking the overall number of Mechan jacks in use at the facility to 68. Its bespoke abilities also encompass the production of bogie drops, which make a complete bogie change feasible in just two hours and multi-rail traversers.

Lindsey Mills, Mechan’s sales manager, will be leading its exhibition team. She said:

Mechan’s sales manager, Lindsey Mills, said:
