The KISS double-decker trains come in four versions, including four- and six-car units for local transport, six-car units for long-distance transport and five-car units for the CAT airport train. These units will expand ÖBB’s Cityjet and Railjet fleet for local and long-distance passenger transport.

At InnoTrans, Stadler will open the doors of the vehicle for the first time to unveil its interior. Travellers will find comfortable seats, automatic air conditioning, power sockets in every row of seats, free Wi-Fi, monitors with real-time information and video surveillance.

The trains also feature low-floor entrances and multi-purpose areas next to the entrances/exits. What’s more, areas with height-adjustable side tables are available for travellers in wheelchairs.

The four-car Cityjet is around 105 metres long and can seat 373 passengers, while the six-car set is approximately 160 metres long and can accommodate up to 593 passengers.

The double-decker multiple units travel at speeds of up to 160 km/h with an output at the wheel of 4,000 kW.

This model will be one of eight vehicles on display by the manufacturer at the event, alongside a range of signalling and service solutions.
