Dr Martell Beck will take over the newly created department of Marketing and Transport Policy at DB Cargo starting on 1 June 2020.
Up until now Dr Beck has been the head of marketing at Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG). In his new role he will report directly to Dr Sigrid Nikutta, who is the Head of Freight Transport on the Management Board of Deutsche Bahn as well as the CEO of DB Cargo.

Deutsche Bahn says Martell Beck is a proven marketing expert who is no stranger to the company. After having worked for Deutsche Bahn and Stuttgarter Straßenbahn AG, he started running the department ‘Marketing und Vertrieb’ (marketing and sales) ad BVG. With the image campaign ‘Weil wir dich lieben’ (Because we love you), the economist gave the BVG and its digital communication a completely new direction.
