Exhibition Review: 2800 Exhibitors 140,000 Visitors – InnoTrans Makes an Impressive Come Back

Antonics and IT am Fahrzeug presented their products together at the leading international trade fair for transport technology.

From September 20th, 2022 to September 23rd, 2022, the 13th InnoTrans took place at Messe Berlin. A total of 2,834 exhibitors from 56 countries and around 140,000 guests from 131 countries visited the Messe Berlin.

From Old to New

Antonics wowed the visitors with a modern stand concept in the new corporate design with which the new cross-polarized X-Plecs ® TOP 120 AMR MF-05-5-5G MIMO 2×2 to 8×8 DS antennas were presented. Together with the partners from IT am Fahrzeug, the new Colibri WLAN box was also exhibited, which has attracted attention also at previous exhibitions, such as the Railway Forum 2021.

René Röder, CTO of Antonics, said:

“The presence of IT am Fahrzeug has been an enrichment once again for our booth. With the help of the joint application example, visitors were attracted, and our technologies could be explained properly. This way we benefited from great synergy effects once again. The Team IT am Fahrzeug actively supported us with their know-how and thus contributed to a successful InnoTrans 2022 for Antonics.”

Antonics and IT am Fahrzeug are long-term partners in equipping regional trains with the Colibri system (Coach Link for Broadband Information System), that enables digital intelligence for rail vehicles. The flexible and expandable system offers WiFi with the 5G standard, travel information and diagnostic systems that can also be viewed and managed by vehicle drivers, operational management with separate access for customers and much more.

The WLAN box is a miniature showcase that demonstrates that the system can be built into any flexible environment.

Thomas Derlig, team leader for market development for IT am Fahrzeug at DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung, said:

“InnoTrans 2022 showed how important a good partnership is. Many thanks to Antonics for the joint appearance at the exhibition. The interest shown in our products was extraordinary and we look forward to continuing to work together to bring modern, networked rail vehicles with a stable vehicle-land connection onto the rails.”
