Indian Railways are set to receive their first batch of nine-car electric multiple units.

Replace existing cars

The development batch, which will feature stainless steel car bodies, will replace existing EMU’s in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai with have been affected by corrosion.

Modern design

With an aesthetically pleasing appearance, and 3+3 seating, the modern EMU’s have been likened to sophisticated metro cars.

Trials have begun on Eastern Railway’s Sealdah division.
