Rail Live, which was to take place at Long Marston, England, on 9 and 10 September has been cancelled because of the continued uncertainty around coronavirus restrictions.
The organisers initially considered moving the event online, having a two-day virtual platform. However, after consulting with exhibitors, they have chosen to cancel for 2020 and work towards a ‘bigger and better’ Rail Live 2021 on 16 and 17 June 2021.
The key USP of Rail Live has always been that attendees can view live demonstrations of equipment. There will also be rolling stock on display.
Sir Peter Hendy, Chairperson, Network Rail, said:In the circumstances, it's a wise decision to shelve the proposed Rail Live for this year in favour of putting every effort into creating a real showstopper Rail Live for 2021.
As per usual, Rail Live 2021 will also feature expert speakers on key industry topics.
