Messe Berlin has celebrated the completion of another successful InnoTrans, touting a number of record-breaking achievements for the exhibition’s 30th anniversary.
The company has announced that the show drew 175,591 trade visitors from 128 countries; 3,190 exhibitors from 59 countries; 180 world premieres; and 753 first-time and new exhibitors.

Held at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 22–25 September 2026; the show took place across 42 exhibition halls and an Outdoor Display and Track area, with total occupied space spanning a net area of 119,767 square metres.
Amongst this space, 180 brand-new products received world premieres, with the 15th edition of the show contributing to its overall aim of remaining a key innovation platform for the international mobility industry.

The four-day event included a deep-focus on artificial intelligence, digitalisation, automation and alternative drive technologies, and now touts a visitor satisfaction rate of 93.5% – remaining at levels previously recorded during the 2024 event, whilst willingness to recommend the event increased slightly, from 94.8 per cent in 2024 to 95.1 per cent at this year’s InnoTrans.
Dirk Hoffmann, Chief Operating Officer of Messe Berlin, said:The anniversary edition was an InnoTrans of superlatives. For us, however, it is not size alone that matters, but above all the quality of the event.
The fact that 94.8 per cent of our exhibitors were very satisfied with their participation is a strong endorsement. When it comes to the important area of business deals, the rating also remains at an exceptionally high level at 88.6 per cent. InnoTrans does more than bring the global mobility industry together – it is where concrete business deals, partnerships and projects take shape.
With a wide international reach, InnoTrans 2026 saw the attendance of trade visitors from 128 countries – a number that includes a total of 753 first-time and new exhibitors, as well as 32 national and joint stands from 25 countries, such as Japan, Brazil and Zimbabwe.
Elsewhere, the show saw a total of 14 delegation tours take place across the Exhibition Grounds, including those from Saudi Arabia, India and Canada.
Key topics throughout the event included artificial intelligence, autonomous public transport and robotics. Alternative drive technologies were particularly prominent among the 113 vehicles presented on the Outdoor Display and Track area, whilst manufacturers showcased, among other innovations, hybrid locomotives with fuel-cell technology, battery-powered multiple units and the world’s first hydrogen-powered narrow-gauge train.
InnoTrans Director Kerstin Schulz said:Over four days in Berlin, the industry demonstrated the innovative strength with which it is shaping the mobility of tomorrow.
We will carry this momentum forward and are already looking forward to welcoming the international mobility industry back to Berlin in 2028.
