Euromaint Rail awarded extended assignment to reprocess Green Cargo’s locomotives, bogies, wheels and traction motors.

Green Cargo and Euromaint Rail are extending their collaboration relating to the maintenance of electric and diesel locomotives, as well as constituent components such as bogies, wheels and traction motors, through a 10-year contract. The work will be carried out at the workshops in Luleå, Vännäs, Sundsvall, Gävle, Borlänge, Hallsberg, Göteborg, Malmö, Åmål and Örebro. The contract concerns the maintenance of locomotives and components for around 330 items of rolling stock.

“I consider the 10-year agreement to be proof that we uphold the high quality of our maintenance services. We have a very high level of expertise when it comes to locomotives, not to mention extensive experience of maintaining the locomotives and components covered by the assignment. We’re really pleased that Green Cargo has continued to show confidence in Euromaint,” says Ove Bergkvist, CEO of Euromaint Rail.

“The quality of our locomotive fleet is a prerequisite for Green Cargo remaining Sweden’s most punctual freight train company. The contract with Euromaint gives us a cost-effective agreement with a partner that possesses the right expertise and geographical coverage,” says Green Cargo’s CEO Jan Kilström.
