Bombardier Transportation have marked the first successful month for the world’s firest INNOVIA APM 300 automated people mover at Dubai International Airport. It is a 1.5km elevated rail link between Terminal 1 and Concourse D, which opened last month.
A turnkey transport system, the two five-car INNOVIA trains are operated and maintained by Bombardier also, operating the 24 shuttle service non-stop, serving 200 flights a month and 50,000 passengers in its first month of service. It features BOMBARDIER CITYFLO 650 communications-based train control (CBTC) technology for driverless operation.
