- 6,200 km of railway lines renewed or rehabilitated
POWER & ELECTRIFICATION
In the railway sector, as well as in urban transport systems (tramway, trolleybus, and metro), we place our expertise and specialized capabilities at the service of our clients to design, build, and maintain turnkey electrification systems for public transport.
- 3 kV DC and 25 kV AC railway systems, both traditional and High Speed
- Urban transport systems for Mass Transit and Light Rail up to 1.5 kV
- Maintenance, renewal and upgrade of existing railway lines
GCF Group ensures full management at all levels. The production process starts with the design stage led by our Engineering up to the final test and commissioning of the entire system: our clients can thus rely on a single point of reference coordinating all operational phases from procurement to on-site construction, guarantee and technical support.
SIGNALLING & TELECOM SYSTEMS
GCF’s Signalling Division designs, develops, and tests signalling systems for the management and control of railway and metro traffic.
Supported by advanced tools and a team of highly specialized professionals, the Engineering Department provides preliminary, detailed, and construction design services for signalling systems.
GCF designs, verifies, and implements:
- Electrical Inter-Locking
- Automatic Coded Current Block
- Centralised Traffic Control

RAILROAD RELATED SERVICES
As a leading railroad construction and maintenance company, we offer a wide range of innovative solutions to ensure the successful completion of railroad infrastructures.
PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE & DIAGNOSTICS
NeuRAIL is the framework for predictive railway diagnostics designed and developed by GCF’s Research & Development division to meet today’s needs for the continuous and remote control of railway assets.
Insulating Joint Optical Control NeuRAIL is the “operating system” on top of which it is possible to install specific applications based on diagnostic modules with custom sensors
- Optical Insulated-Joint Monitoring
- Optical control of rail temperature
- Measurement of the vertical dynamic loading
- Optical check of the OCL
- Optical check of the CWR
LEVEL CROSSING SAFETY SYSTEM
PAI-PL (Automatic Integrative Protection of Level Crossings) is the name of an innovative auxiliary technology dedicated to the detection of obstacles present in the area of the level crossings delimited by the barriers.
Based on laser or radar systems, it is capable of preventing the risk of impact between trains and any obstacles that, standing or moving, occupy the monitored area during and after the barrier closure.
