DrainBot GmbH was established in 2019 in Graz, Austria. Gathered around professionals with decades of experience in engineering, innovation and tunnel maintenance, we are making sure to deliver high quality of our products made in Austria and service for tunnel operators across geographies and sectors.
Our flagship technology is a novel automated system that allows for more efficient and safer maintenance of tunnel drainage. It uses a combination of several novel technologies to reduce the hazard to the employees, passengers and transported goods while reducing the costs related to drainage maintenance to railway, highway and infrastructure operators. At the same time, our technology reduces the resource consumption (i.e. water and fuel) drastically, thereby reducing not only the cost of maintenance, but also its environmental footprint. Hence, with our technology, road and rail operators can reduce their carbon emissions and water consumption thereby providing value to future generations.
Our vision is to enable more efficient, safer and more environment-friendly maintenance of tunnels through novel technologies. By focusing on the benefits for the operators of infrastructure and their customers, we will continue to deliver innovative, technology-based, sustainable solutions for tunnels. Hence, we continue to innovate. Our next step is the introduction of advanced analytics and machine learning components in the area of tunnel drainage maintenance and inspection. With that we will enable more data-driven and efficient maintenance of tunnels and some other mobility assets.
In collaboration with multiple international companies and the European Commission, we have demonstrated high efficiency of our systems thereby proving that DrainBot’s technology offers a drastic improvement in efficiency of tunnel drainage maintenance compared to other technologies. Besides being able to reduce the carbon emissions by 70-90% depending on the source of energy, our systems can operate without any addition of water and without personnel at site. All this leads to cost reduction of tunnel drainage maintenance by 10-40% depending on each individual use case.
