Sqills is proud to share that its last on-premises customer, Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail, successfully migrated to the S3 Passenger SaaS cloud environment as of 24 March 2021.
The move was first announced back in November of last year.
With the completion of the S3 Passenger migration from on-premises hosting provided by Cubic to the cloud environment of AWS, S3 Passenger runs all its customers in SaaS mode.
S3 Passenger in SaaS mode makes it possible for operators to bring new product features to the market faster and benefit from a broader range of technical and functional improvements in constant development at Sqills.
Through these S3 Passenger enhancements Sqills ensures its customers have access to the best available booking, reservation, and distribution suite at all times during their entire contract term. This allows operators to improve and build capabilities to meet new and emerging customer demands into the future and compete with new entrants in the market and other modes of transportation.
With S3 Passenger operating in SaaS mode, ongoing functional and technical updates to the core S3 Passenger system accommodate future legislative, regulatory, and security changes, ensuring that the core capability continues to reflect industry best practice at any point in time.
