Siemens Mobility has delivered the ‘Bright Orange 2’ trainset to Brightline’s Vehicle Maintenance Facility in Orlando, completing the operator’s fleet of 10 trains.
This vehicle is the last of five new trains to arrive in Florida ahead of the opening of the Brightline Orlando station, which will connect passengers to Orlando International Airport’s new 80,000 sq. ft. Terminal C.

Bright Orange 2 weighs 643 tonnes and is 556 feet long. It was delivered to Orlando following a 10-day journey from the Siemens rolling stock facility in Sacramento, California.
The new vehicle consists of two locomotives and four coaches. An extra locomotive was also included in this delivery, which will be used as a replacement during repair or maintenance.
Brightline’s Orlando construction project is now 90% complete and is expected to start operations in the second quarter of this year.
