The Organizer of Rail+Metro Announced That the Rail+Metro Asia Trade Show Will Be Held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in October 2023.

In 2023, China and ASEAN will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their strategic cooperative partnership, coinciding with the inauguration of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, the first high-speed railway in ASEAN countries. Against this backdrop, the 2023 Asia International Summit and Exhibition on Railway and Urban Rail Transit will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, from October 19 to 21 2023. This event is organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Transport, Indonesian Ministry of Industry, Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, supported by the Indonesian Intelligent Transport System Association (ITS Indonesia), and the China Local Railway Association.

The summit aims to gather more than 300 top industry players from various sectors of the railway and urban rail transit industry, including industry operators, technical service providers, equipment suppliers, engineering contractors, research institutions, associations, colleges, as well as professionals in legal, insurance, auditing, certification, and consulting fields, both from domestic and overseas. The event will be aimed at ASEAN countries, where the rail transit sector is rapidly developing, such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, and others. Additionally, the summit will facilitate in-depth discussions and communication on topics such as smart transportation systems, standardization establishment, regional limitations, project management, and talent training in international project cooperation related to rail transportation in ASEAN countries.
