Nemergent Solutions S.L. is a young Spanish company headquartered in Bilbao, which is active in the field of “Mission Critical Services” (3GPP), such as MCPTT (Mission Critical Push-To-Talk) via LTE. Current cooperation projects are in the field of Public Transport and Public Safety, where Nemergent Solutions is contributing with software for application services and end devices, i.e. mobile terminals for emergency services.

Frequentis CEO, Norbert Haslacher, says:

“We have already enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Nemergent Solutions. We are pleased that we can now strategically expand and deepen this cooperation in the form of an investment. The LTE mobile communications standard brings new opportunities in safety-critical broadband communication; with our bundled software and technology competence we will further expand our market position.”

Nemergent Solutions is also a partner in Frequentis’ LTE activities in New Business Development, such as the EU innovation project BroadWay, which is working on a Europe-wide networked broadband communication in the public safety sector.

Managing Director, Jose Oscar Fajardo, explains:

“Frequentis' involvement supports the strategic cooperation and promotes the further development and growth of Nemergent. Together we will achieve further growth.”

Founded in 2017, the company consists of a team of about 30 highly qualified employees with a strong R&D expertise. The Frequentis investment is made through the wholly owned subsidiary BlueCall GmbH. The transaction is carried out through a capital increase at Nemergent, for which a binding investment agreement was signed on 7 August in the first step.

For ongoing coordination, the Frequentis Group is sending a representative to the Nemergent Solutions Board of Directors.
