Emeg® Group Awarded Trio of Fuelling Projects

Emeg® Group is pleased to announce the award, as Principal Contractor, of three Network Rail fuelling overhaul projects valued in excess of £2m.

The project consists of the overhaul of fuelling systems at Blackpool, Barrow-in-Furness and Newton Heath depots, including the exterior cleaning and repainting of 15 large-capacity diesel fuel tanks across the three locations. As you can see from the photo, the tanks at Newton Heath have taken a battering by the elements and are in need of some TLC!

We will also be carrying out modifications and replacements of the fuel pumping systems and dispenser outlets, installing our industry-leading Emeg e-fuel™ smart fuelling systems, along with pipework and overhead gantry works, which require structural overhaul and redecorating.

Further works within the contract award include tank binding replacements and repair, plant room structural works and decoration. Emeg® Group will also provide temporary fuelling solutions to ensure continuity of depot operations whilst the works are being carried out.

We are proud to be working with and strengthening our relationships with Network Rail as a Principal Contractor on these critical depot upgrade projects.
