We have a team of highly trained maintenance engineers and technicians available to assist a range of services including installing and commissioning of equipment, preventative and remedial maintenance, 24-hour availability and a remote link ups service as well as, as well as consultancy, design and implementation of installation modifications and updates.
The world’s most advanced integrated power solutions / low voltage electrical solutions – engineered specifically for the rail sector, ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of rail networks and infrastructure. Socomec’s comprehensive range of low voltage electrical solutions has been designed to maximise the robustness and safety of rail and mass transportation networks.
Critical Power – Socomec’s IP+ Rail range – engineered to provide optimum energy efficiency for high performance critical power applications – guarantees network robustness even in the most challenging rail operating environments.
Socomec’s Emergency UPS range protects passengers and staff in the event of a major power failure or incident, providing emergency lighting and guaranteeing the performance of other emergency systems.
Socomec’s OLI range of UPS equipment delivers the ultimate energy availability taking inputs from both a 25kV for overhead lines we well as a 400V AC mains supply.
Socomec’s Automatic and Static Transfer Switches will enhance power availability and simplify your electrical architecture. Sircover and AtyS automatic transfer and bypass switches guarantee standby and alternate power availability.
The most comprehensive range of load-break switches, protecting people and key assets. Socomec’s complete range of Fuserbloc high quality fuse combination switches protects against overload and short circuit.
The effective management of energy consumption – and costs – starts with the most advanced energy monitoring, measuring and management solutions. Socomec’s compact DIRIS Digiware system provides the ultimate control, improving both energy quality and efficiency.
Socomec’s specialist engineering team has the necessary trackside training and accreditations to install and support your equipment – throughout its lifecycle. From design and build through to installation and commissioning – as well as ongoing maintenance – Socomec has a strong track record in providing robust, efficient and complex integrated power solutions for the exacting requirements of the rail sector.
Customer Witness Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) are carried out to industry standards on our dedicated factory test platform, with a full witness test report supplied with the equipment and a tour of the production facility to complete the programme.
The Socomec FAT can typically be concluded within one day but can be tailored to suit your specific requirements. By prior agreement, additional product testing can include discrimination, short circuits and specific equipment cables.
With its 100 MVA (Idc 100 kA rms1 s) short-circuit platform, three 10 kA overload platforms and numerous other test instruments, the facilities cover 1500m. The laboratory combines expertise in electricity and mechanics, pneumatics and computing.
A member of ASEFA and the LOVAG, it is also accredited by COFRAC, UL (CTDP), CSA (shared certification) and KEMA (SMT/WMT). The laboratory also works in partnership with certification organisations (such as CEBEC, ASTA, Lloyd’s, Bureau Veritas and GOST-R) to ensure that the safety and quality requirements of each specific territory are addressed fully.
Socomec provides a complete range of railway engineering support services – with the necessary trackside certified engineers – to handle the Commissioning, Inspection and Maintenance (CIM) of its integrated systems – throughout their lifecycle.
A vital component of any electrical infrastructure is the quality of its engineering support. With unprecedented numbers choosing to travel by rail, you need to be assured of the backing of a highly trained, rapid response engineering team – available 24/7/365 – to guarantee your systems in the most challenging applications.
Socomec has an unrivalled breadth and depth of technical expertise; we understand the importance of maintaining vital equipment and systems whilst also maintaining control of your operating costs.
Socomec can create completely customised CIM packages for your system architecture: customised packages give you complete control of costs and peace of mind throughout the hardware lifecycle.
Socomec’s engineering team will conduct an audit, identifying potential business continuity risks and assessing energy efficiency. A summary report – with costed recommendations – highlights urgent areas plus opportunities for improvement, forming the basis of an optimisation roadmap.
Socomec’s Power Quality Audit enables even further investigation helping to optimise the reliability, efficiency and safety of a critical power supply.
