The first train for the Chuzhou-Nanjing intercity railway developed and manufactured by CRRC Puzhen was officially delivered at Xiangguan Depot

The new train is an intercity D type vehicle comprised of four carriages. It will travel at speeds of up to 140 kilometres per hour and has the ability to start and stop quickly, making it well-suited for the one-hour commute between the city and its surrounding areas.

The exterior design is inspired by a phoenix with an orange belt and headlights alike to the bird’s eyes.

This will be the first intercity railway to connect Chuzhou of Anhui and Nanjing of Jiangsu in China. Its operation will therefore promote economic development in these cities.
