BST Wins Maintenance Contract in China

Bombardier’s joint venture in China, Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation Ltd. (BST), has won a maintenance contract for 656 high-speed train cars.

BST has won a contract with China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway) to provide maintenance services for 656 high-speed train cars, equating to 71 trains. BST previously manufactured these trains for China’s high-speed network. The total contract is worth in the region of 2.45 billion CNY (321 million euros | 357 million USD). Bombardier Transportation owns 50 percent of BST shares.

BST Maintenance Service Contract

The maintenance contract covering 656 cars includes the following models: CRH1A-A, CRH1A, CRH1B, CRH1E and CRH380D. It is for varying levels of maintenance. BST will complete all the maintenance by the end of the year. In February 2019 BST won a maintenance contract for 560 cars, which it has successfully delivered.
