Auracast™ and Live Transcriptions: Travelling Was Never So Accessible

Delays, a different platform, disruptions… Announcements are relevant to every passenger. But those who speak a foreign language, with a hearing impairment, or travelling with their headphones on can easily miss important messages.

With our Bluetooth® Auracast™ solution and live transcriptions you reach the ears and eyes of all passengers.

Auracast™: Everyone Tuned In

An international train stops suddenly. The conductor makes an announcement in English, that not everyone understands. Not only the language barrier makes it difficult, there may also be passengers with a hearing aid who can’t decipher the message because of all the noise. Others are so engrossed in their film or series that they miss the message entirely. The consequence? Stressed or uninformed passengers.

Our Bluetooth Auracast™ solution makes announcements accessible to every passenger. The Bluetooth function transmits audio streams to an unlimited number of audio receivers. This works in three different ways:

  • Travelers hear the announcement in their own language through their headphones or earbuds.
  • Passengers with a hearing impairment hear the announcement directly in their hearing device.
  • Travelers who are watching a film or series hear the announcement in their own language. The film or episode pauses automatically. No twist in the plot will come between you.

SPEECH-TO-TEXT: Loud and Clear

As well as repeating audio announcements, a visual display on the information screen is certainly worthwhile. Our function for live transcription taps directly into the microphone, filtering background noise and interference. The announcements are written comprehensibly and displayed on the screen. Even without an internet connection.

What about difficult names of stations? Technical jargon? A conductor with a strong accent? No problem at all: we combine speech-to-text technology based on AI with real-time data from LiveCoM Suite. In this way we maximize the clarity of messages.
