Alstom has announced details of its upcoming participation at InnoTrans 2024, which is set to take place in Berlin from 24-27 September 2024.
At the event, Alstom will focus on decarbonising rail, maximising system performance, and elevating the passenger experience.
These themes will be represented in Alstom’s presentation of the Avelia Horizon high-speed train.
In addition, Alstom will showcase the Coradia Max high-capacity regional train, the new tram for Berlin, and the Traxx Universal multi-system locomotive for Akiem.
Alstom aims to emphasise its leadership in net-zero mobility. It is currently the only company with hydrogen trains in passenger service and also offers the largest portfolio of green traction technologies.
At InnoTrans 2024, Alstom will expand on its decarbonisation efforts across the entire lifecycle of rail assets. This approach is crucial for both environmental preservation and helping customers meet their sustainability goals.
Alstom will also showcase its advanced technologies and solutions for enhancing railway performance.
From driverless rail and predictive maintenance to AI-driven operations, Alstom will present its expertise in machine learning, big data, and cybersecurity to ensure rail systems are resilient, reliable, and efficient.
These innovations aim to deliver more robust transport systems and smoother, enhanced journeys.
At InnoTrans, Alstom will present its approach to creating holistic, immersive travel experiences.
Trade fair visitors will be able to explore how lighting, materials, connectivity, and design elements combine to create a unique passenger journey.
This focus advances Alstom’s goal to make rail the preferred transportation choice over cars and planes by offering clean, sustainable solutions that don’t compromise on comfort or convenience.
At InnoTrans, Alstom will further demonstrate its commitment to sustainability, performance and passenger experience through the presentation of the Avelia Horizon high-speed train.
This model is the latest generation of the world’s only double-deck high-speed train.
With this vehicle, Alstom states that it has developed a train that offers the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) per seat on the market.
