UWC Subsidiary UNICON 1520 to Provide Tank Containers and Flat Cars to RusVinyl

Container transportation company UNICON 1520, which is part of United Wagon Company, will provide tank containers and flat cars to RusVinyl.

RusVinyl is a joint undertaking between SIBUR Holding (Russia) and Solvay (Belgium).

In essence, the agreement the two parties signed covers the transportation of sodium hydroxide over a two-year period. Sodium hydroxide is part of the manufacturing process of paper, metal and food, as well as other goods. The agreement covers the geographic area of Russia as well as port access via both Finland and the Baltics.

Victor Ivanov, Executive Director, UNICON 1520, said:
