Accessible Train Travel

Train travel has long been a staple of public transportation, offering a reliable and efficient means of moving from one place to another. However, for individuals who use wheelchairs, accessing trains has often been a challenge.

U-Lift has produced Train-mounted lifts that are compliant with TRI-PRM standards since 1994. Our wheelchair lift INV300 can be customized according to the technical requirements of different train models.

Features of the Wheelchair Lift

The wheelchair lift is a marvel of engineering, adapting to the needs of its users:

  • Safety and Comfort for passenger and train attendants: With a focus on safety, the lifts provide a secure and comfortable way for wheelchair users to board and alight from trains while work ergonomy is central for train attendants.
  • Cost efficient: Using the standard production platform of INV300, the lift can be provided at a reasonable cost.
  • Meeting requirements: INV300 meets the requirements of EN 1756 part 2 and is EC approved. Meets the requirements of 2014/1300 TSI PRM and for welding in accordance with EN 3834 and EN 15085.
  • Customizable Interfaces: Trainlift interfaces can be individually tailored to fit the specific technical requirements of each train manufacturer.
