Track Laying for Jiangxi Section of the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway Complete

The last set of 500m rails were laid on ballastless track slab for the 134.5km of the Jiangxi Province section of the Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway on 16 May.

The high-speed line was also connected to the southern end of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway. The Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed line begins in Ganzhou, Jiangxi in the north, and connects to cities like Heyuan and Huizhou in Guangdong, before terminating in Shenzhen. The line’s total length is 436.37km and a design speed of 350km/h. Track laying began in February 2021 and the line is expected to open this year.

The Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway will have a total of 14 stations and be electrified at AC 50Hz 25kV. It is also to form part of a longer high-speed link to Nanchang, Jiangxi.
