Designed for high performance
We have been a spring technology specialist in the rail transport sector for many decades. In 1989, the first Deutsche Bahn ICE was already equipped with GRUEBER springs. Over 180,000 train passengers enjoy the comfort and safety of our spring solutions every day. We develop and manufacture primary and secondary springs for locomotives, passenger coaches, suburban trains, double decker coaches, freight wagons and composite vehicles such as the ICE.
The fascination of mobility
As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of steel springs for the railway industry, Grueber, together with the system houses, is developing and testing the next generation of high-performance springs. High speed in the railway industry is no longer wizardry – it is more than ever a part of our everyday lives. Grueber is involved as a high-performance partner to ensure that the highest standards of safety can be ensured here as well. With newly developed sensor technology for steel springs, Grueber with its development partner have initiated the next step towards the intelligent spring. For the first time, measurement data (load conditions exerted on the spring) can be digitally called up during train operation. Thus data from the field can be used in real operation, especially as part of new developments.
