Spot the Difference: Pandas-V® in Action

Spot the Difference…

Pandas-V® in Action

These images show the Pandas-V® camera immediately after installation and following a period of unattended operation on the train.

This is why we designed the camera with our patented wiper-scraper, ensuring pristine image quality despite the arduous conditions typical of the rail industry.

In environments where sticky carbon and insect activity could quickly degrade image quality, our design keeps the camera operational for extended periods with zero maintenance requirements.

The advanced sealing of the wiper spindle delivers IP69K protection, with the camera tested under high-pressure water blasting, submerged at a depth of 2 metres for 96 hours, and functioning from frozen conditions down to -40°C.

A comprehensive set of sensors within the camera – including internal pressure, humidity, temperature, acceleration, gyroscope, microphone, and current gauges – provides an unprecedented level of self-monitoring and self-diagnostics.

By designing the Pandas-V® camera from the ground up and embedding unprecedented computing power for edge processing and machine learning, we have delivered a self-learning and future-proof tool for the rail industry of tomorrow.

This development was made possible thanks to an award-winning collaboration with Angel Trains, Network Rail, and multiple industrial partners.
