Knorr-Bremse has announced it will be outfitting at least 246 Stadler CITYLINK trams with both braking and air conditioning systems.

The work, which is predicted to be completed by 2031, is part of a significant joint order including options for up to 258 additional vehicles.

Dr. Nicolas Lange, Member of the Board of Directors of Knorr-Bremse AG and responsible for the Rail Division worldwide, said:

Attractive and available rail transport is important for the success of the transport transition.

We are pleased to be able to contribute our system expertise to safety, reliability and passenger comfort on the rails in this long-term equipment project for our customer Stadler.

The trains are set to be delivered to transport companies in Germany and Austria, with Knorr-Bremse also providing all additional servicing until 2056.
