Avoiding or minimizing germs on plastic surfaces is an enormous challenge these days. The growth of microbes and germs on surfaces is in many ways an undesirable effect and represents a hygiene risk. Many bacteria are transmitted via the hands and find a quick spread through the jointly used contact surfaces. In the railway sector the seating areas and wall applications in areas of crowds (train sets, railway stations) are particularly affected – antibacterial surfaces are intended to remedy this.

The possible application of the material: wall claddings, roof panels, seats, etc.
