A selection of Complete Composite Systems’ innovative and low-carbon composite products will be showcased at Rail Live, the UK’s largest rail exhibition.
Held at Porterbrook’s Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, between 17-18 June, the annual event is once again expected to attract more than 7,000 rail professionals from all aspects of the industry.
During the two-day showpiece visitors will have the ideal opportunity to get up close and personal with some of CCS’s eco-friendly composite products that will be displayed by our partners Scott Parnell at Stand G2.
Among the items being displayed will be ARCOSYSTEM® — the rail industry’s benchmark elevated cable containment system. Manufactured from pultruded glass fibre reinforced polymers (GRP/FRP) for superb structural and load-bearing performance, this robust yet lightweight composite cable troughing offers long-term durability in all weathers and can span as far as 6m between supports for quick and cost-effective installation. Its flexibility and specialist range of steel brackets ensures the system can be post-mounted, wall-hung or attached to a variety of trackside structures such as bridges, railings, noise barriers, rock faces, or hillside slopes.
Visitors will also be able to get a close-up look of our STRUCTALITE Retention System, composed of pultruded composite boards deriving strength from glass fibre reinforcements impregnated with polyester resins to provide long-term structural ballast performance. The GRP-constructed boards are excellent at resisting and absorbing impact, ideal for protecting railway tracks and line-side facilities from the likes of rockfall or snowslide. They are also UV resistant and require no maintenance over time.
