Insulation faults are among the most disruptive issues in ungrounded rail systems, costing time, causing delays, and raising safety risks.

That is why we have launched a new CPD-accredited course tailored to the Network Rail SIGELP/27725 standard, covering insulation monitoring devices (IMDs) and insulation fault location systems (IFLS).

New Cpd-Accredited Course Helps Rail Teams Get to Grips With Network Rail’s Insulation Monitoring Standard

Designed for signalling engineers, electrical specialists, and infrastructure teams, the course explores the principles behind ungrounded (IT) systems and the impact of insulation faults on system reliability and safety. It also examines how our ISOMETER technology helps address these risks in line with Network Rail’s expectations.

The course concludes with a closer look at the RS4 signalling power protection system, a comparison of the three tiers of monitoring, and a live demonstration from our engineering team.

Mumtaz Farooqi, Technical Director at Bender UK said:

Expanding our CPD offering with this course gives professionals across the rail sector a chance to engage directly with the standards and systems that matter. We’re strong advocates of continuous development at every level, and this is a valuable way to share the expertise we've built as a team.

The course is available in person at our headquarters in Cumbria, at a location of your choice, or online with a virtual demonstration.
