Join British Steel: Search Is on for Manufacturing Trainees

British Steel is looking to recruit new manufacturing trainees to enhance our operations in Scunthorpe.

Our new colleagues will be in addition to the 70 plus people who’ve already joined us in similar roles across the business this year.

The successful applicants will receive a comprehensive and structured training programme consisting of both on and off the job training. This will help them develop their manufacturing knowledge and personal skills, ultimately allowing for transition into Team Member roles.

The roles will see people support Team Leaders within manufacturing areas across site to ensure all plant operational production targets are met to the highest quality, delivering first rate customer service.

Manufacturing operational tasks include, but are not limited to;

  • Crane driving (pendant, remote and cab operated overhead)
  • Machine/process operation
  • General material movement (slinging and lifting, Forklift Driving)
  • Burning
  • Manual handling

The closing date for applications is 18 June 2021.
