Czech rolling stock manufacturer CZ Loko has signed a contract with Italian rail freight operator EVM Rail. It will deliver one EffiShunter 1000 locomotive in October.
The contract includes an option for a second locomotive.
Jan Kutálek, Sales Director, CZ Loko, said:I am very pleased that we can effectively handle day-to-day problems caused by the pandemic. Despite all expectations, our exports have not stopped, but continue successfully. This is largely due to the work of our entire team.
In addition to supplying the rolling stock, CZ Loko offers remote solutions, such as activation of locomotive components, video tutorials, service support and data sharing.

EVM Rail operates within Gruppo Etea. The multinational group is involved in a broad spectrum of activities from engineering and agriculture to food and renewable energy.
Jan Kutálek:The implementation of its own rail transport should help it streamline logistics. Due to the expected development, we assume they will use the option.
Alba Leasing will provide the financing.
In July 2020 CZ Loko delivered EffiShunter 1000 locomotives to clients in Italy and Slovenia.
