The Société du Grand Paris has contracted the Colas Rail / Alstom consortium, led by Colas Rail, to supply the track, overhead catenary system and linear equipment for the 2nd section of the Grand Paris Express line 17.

Line 17 will be 26.5 kilometres long and will connect 9 stations across 13 municipalities between Saint-Denis Pleyel and Le Mesnil-Amelot in under 25 minutes.

Under this latest contract, the Colas Rail / Alstom consortium will supply and lay 10 kilometres of track, the rigid overhead catenary system and the linear equipment between Le Bourget Aéroport and Parc des Expositions. This will involve work within in a tunnel, in embankments and on a viaduct.

The first works will start by mid-2024 and will involve up to 200 employees from Alstom and Colas Rail.

This contract follows the two companies’ previous collaboration on projects such as the Grand Paris Express line 15 South-East section.
