Application solutions for wide range of industries, including transit authorities, airlines, defence and space system manufacturers.

Test and Support Solutions
The new ATS-5000 Series of Functional Test and Support Solutions provides design verification, test, and diagnostics in the lab, field, factory, or depot for a variety of critical electronics systems.

Astronics Corporation (Nasdaq: ATRO), a leading provider of advanced technologies for global aerospace, defence and other mission critical industries, launched its ATS-5000 Series of Functional Test and Support Solutions, a unique consolidation of world-class architecture, instrumentation, and software, configured to meet the end-user’s exact requirements. These solutions leverage the success of the Company’s Transit Test Systems, both software and hardware, adapting it to be applicable to a wide range of industries. These solutions provide the organic capability for simple, in-house design verification, test, or diagnostic programs in the lab, factory, depot, or field, preventing costly downtime and saving unnecessary repair costs.

Jim Mulato, President of Astronics Test Systems, said:

“The increasing complexity of electronic and electro-mechanical systems creates challenges when it comes to verifying proper operation or diagnosing failures. The ATS-5000 Series gives our customers the peace of mind that their critical systems will function as designed and any issues can be quickly addressed. Our solutions can help ensure that transit authorities, airlines, defence and space system manufacturers, and manufacturers of critical equipment do not incur costly downtime or catastrophic failures.”

The ATS-5000 Series offers a wide variety of application solutions that leverage modular and open designs to take advantage of common tools and software, ultimately reducing training and internal support costs. Functional emulation capabilities and test program set (TPS) development tasks are automated, enabling users to support the products specific to their systems without costly, long-term repairs that require support from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). A versatile software abstraction layer helps mitigate obsolescence, reducing long-term logistics costs and providing the means to adapt the test station to other needs over time.

Potential users of the ATS-5000 Series could include, but are not limited to: mass transit system suppliers, rail car integrators or maintainers, transit authorities, infrastructure installation crews, defence and weapons system manufacturers or maintainers, avionics manufacturers or maintenance organisations, space systems manufacturers, automotive component and system manufacturers, and any designers or manufacturers of electronics or electromechanical products.
