Amtrak has celebrated the entry of 13 brand-new NextGen Acela trains into active service.

With their introduction, the company has begun operating 32 NextGen Acela trips within its schedule, providing more opportunities for customers to travel on the new units.

The trains are expected to offer increased capacity and greater schedule flexibility when planning future trips, as well as act as an additional milestone in the company’s New Era of Rail.

Amtrak has stated that it will continue to increase its Acela services over the next few months as additional NextGen Acela trainsets join the wider fleet.
