Alstom has today unveiled its Coradia Stream Intercity at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin, the latest addition to the Coradia Stream family.
Presented as part of the InnoTrans 2026 press day, the Coradia Stream IC has been developed specifically to raise the standard of intercity travel in Italy.
Reaching a top speed of 200 km/h, the twelve-train fleet is part of the comprehensive modernisation of Trenitalia’s fleet.
Passenger Experience
The Coradia Stream Intercity pairs a resource-efficient operation with an accessible, passenger-focused project.
With a spacious and contemporary interior and comfortable seating provided across both first and second class, passengers travelling on the Coradia Stream IC can expect an exceptional rail experience. Boasting a family area and children’s zone, the train is well-equipped for all groups of passengers.

With 403 seats, passenger experience is a clear focus of the Coradia Stream IC, with wide doors and a step-free entrance ensuring boarding is straightforward for all passengers.

The Coradia Stream IC has an array of digital signalling technology and, paired with predictive maintenance capabilities, the train is designed to ensure a smooth, reliable rail operation over the long term.
The new system aims to minimise unplanned downtime and support more efficient fleet management for Trenitalia.
