Alstom to Unveil Italy’s First Hydrogen Train at EXPO Ferroviaria

At EXPO Ferroviaria, Alstom and Ferrovie Nord Milano (FNM) will unveil Italy’s first hydrogen-powered Coradia Stream train.

EXPO Ferroviaria is taking place in Milan from 3-5 October. During the event, Alstom will unveil Italy’s first hydrogen train, which is set to enter commercial service along the non-electrified Brescia-Iseo-Edolo line in Valcamonica.

This unit is the first of six hydrogen-powered Coradia Stream units that will be delivered to FNM under a 2022 contract.

At EXPO Ferroviaria, Alstom and Infra will also present the new Metropolis train for Line 1 of the Turin Metro.

Additionally, Alstom will showcase some of its latest innovations, such as its smart robot for conducting maintenance and its contact line tensioning system, Spiroll.

The company will be exhibiting over the three days at Booth E48.
