Totalkare Confirms Return to Railtex & Infrarail

Totalkare is pleased to announce its return to premier rail industry event Railtex & Infrarail in 2023, for what will be fourth consecutive year.

The workshop equipment specialist announced its move into the UK rail market in January 2019 in partnership with Italian supply partners Emanuel – who themselves boast over 120 years’ experience in rail – and have been a mainstay at Railtex ever since.

Workshop Equipment

This year’s event, which takes place at Birmingham NEC on 9 – 11 May, will see Totalkare showcasing its popular rail lifting jack, while visitors will also be able to discuss other depot equipment including bogie lifts and rail inspection pits.

Available in lifting capacities of 5,500 – 50,000kg per jack, Totalkare’s rail lifting jacks can be used in groups of 4 to 128, facilitating the lifting of single carriages through to entire trains for the purposes of repair and essential maintenance and are being used up and down the UK by the likes of Hitachi among others.

With a lifting capacity of up to 14,000kg and a electrohydraulic activation system, Totalkare’s bogie lifting platform facilitates the maintenance of railway bogies, including the handling, removal and assembly of railway bogies. Benefitting from a laser scanner to make for safer horizontal movement and a motorised translator to accurately adjust tracks.

A new addition to Totalkare’s portfolio is steel fabricated inspection pits.  Preferred by some operators as an alternative to lifting equipment, Totalkare’s inspection pits are manufactured to order from high quality steel with pit length, width and height to suit workshop requirements.

Steve Braund, Marketing Manager for Totalkare, said:

“Railtex has provided an excellent platform for showcasing our rail depot equipment since our move into the industry several years ago. We’re looking forward to another great exhibition, catching up with existing customers and exploring new opportunities to support UK rail further.”
