Transport for London (TfL) has introduced a number of additional new features to its TfL Go app which aim to further inform customers about their prospective journeys.
Updates include a new real-time line status notification system, which alerts customers to any potential disruption, as well as a redesign of information relating to next train arrivals across Tube, DLR and Tram services.

Last month saw TfL improve access to bus stop information within the app, adding real-time information on any bus stop and arrival times via an in-app map. Previously, this was limited to local bus stops based on GPS-based views, with the update allowing users to check onward bus times whilst travelling on Tube and rail services.
Disrupted or closed bus stops are now displayed clearly within the app, with iOS users also able to view entire bus routes on the map, search for specific stops and save favourites. Android users will receive this functionality in the coming months.
Emma Strain, Customer Director at Transport for London, said:We know how important it is for our customers to feel in control of their journeys, and these new TfL Go features are all about making that easier.
Whether it's getting real-time notifications on your line or checking which bus stop to head to next while on the Tube, these updates give our customers the information they need, right when they need and want it most.
The TfL Go app was first launched in 2020 and provides real-time arrival times, as well as information on general services across the Transport for London network as a whole. It offers alternative routes, as well as walking and cycling options, toilet placements and station information.
