Entrance Matting Systems for Rail

EMS Ltd are UK Manufacturers and suppliers of heavy duty commercial entrance matting systems with entrance matting ranges to suit all sectors, applications, including internal and external areas.  The entrance matting systems are exceptionally high quality, consisting of 100% recycled solid aluminium grids with unique Debris Channels. These channels are designed to catch and retain dirt, debris and moisture, helping to protect the internal floor finishes as well as the infill material.

EMS has created two ranges specifically designed for Railway applications. EMS Multi-Track Natural is the ultimate entrance matting for railway and underground stations as it has EMS section 12 (low smoke emission) approved, halogen free natural rubber multi-directional infill strips.

The same unique multi-directional chequer board pattern is available in non-section 12 rubber for stations where section 12 requirements are not necessary. EMS Multi-Track non-section 12 also provides the same exceptional durability, extra grip and anti-slip surface as the EMS Multi-Track Natural at a lower cost. Both ranges offer open and closed construction with regular or 80/20 drainage holes to suit the railway station’s drainage requirements. EMS offers both recessed matwells and surface-mounted entrance matting using aluminium ramped frames.

EMS aluminium grid systems and frames can be anodised in Black, three different shades of Gold or Bronze as well as Gun Metal Grey.

The solid aluminium interlocking panelled construction is stronger than wired alternatives; easier to cut on site, as well as withstanding heavy loads, multi-directional, high footfall and wheeled traffic.

EMS Multi-Track entrance matting systems are approved and specified in numerous Railway and Underground Stations, including large installations at Farringdon, Romford and Tottenham Court Road.

All EMS entrance matting systems offer replaceable infill materials that can easily and economically be replaced at any time. With 15 year guarantee on all EMS grid entrance matting.

EMS entrance matting is suitable for high traffic areas and extreme environments requiring an entrance matting product that is exceptionally durable and fire resistant.

Other entrance matting ranges from EMS: EMS Evergreen and EMS Colortread are suitable for over-ground Railway Stations and other Transport entrances.

EMS has worked with numerous Rail companies including Northern Rail, East Midlands Rail, London Overground and Underground as well as other Transport sectors for example; Luton Airport and Seaton Tramway.
