Innovations, Opening Ceremony, Market Vision: The Conference Programme Is Picking up Steam

The 12th edition of SIFER, France’s only B2B international railway exhibition, will be taking place from 26 to 28 October 2021 at Lille Grand Palais. Over the years, SIFER has become an unmissable appointment for players in the railway sector, and even more so this year, as it marks the return of face-to-face interactions between many exhibitors, partners and visitors.

With one month to go before the exhibition opens, Mack-Brooks Exhibitions is finalising the event’s conference programme. Amongst the highlights, the opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, 26 October 2021 at 10 a.m. This will kick start the 12th edition. On the same day, at 12.30 p.m., the UNIFE (European Railway Industry Association) will organise a conference on the theme of “Competitiveness within the rail industry: how to maintain global leadership?” In the presence of Philippe Citroën (UNIFE General Manager).

12th International Exhibition of Railway TechnologyOn Wednesday 27 October, at 11.30 a.m., Uretek, a company specialising in soil consolidation and building stabilisation by injection of expanding resin, will explain how they managed to fill in a scupper and treat a sinkhole under the SNCF railway line at La Souterraine (Dpt. 23). In the presence of Frédéric Pitou – National Key Account Manager at URETEK® and Morgan Poirier – Key Account Manager at URETEK®.

On Thursday, 28 October at 10.30 a.m. Railcoop, France’s first railway cooperative, will speak about cooperative innovation: “How does Railcoop’s cooperative innovation pave the way for new railway innovations?” In the presence of Alexandra Debaisieux – Managing Director and Selim Zitouni – Rolling stock specialist.

SIFER 2021 Awarded the “Safety Shows” Label

The RX group, of which Mack-Brooks Exhibitions is part of, has come up with a “Safety Shows” strategy which includes a 5-point action plan aimed at protecting the health and safety of exhibition visitors and teams: collaboration and commitment, risk management, planning, communication and prevention measures.
